Drug Solubilizaton

We provide ingredients and process technology services to improve the solubility and enhance bioavailabilty of drug actives. We offer a broad range of drug solubilization technologies including solvents, cyclodextrins and polymers. In addition, we have expertise in cGMP spray-dried solid dispersions for bioavailability enhancement of poorly soluble drugs and provide development, clinical supply and commercial manufacturing services. With experience working with more than 100 actives in last 2 years, we can assist with your drug solubility challenges.

Excipients

Our Excipients business has a 50-year track record as a leading supplier of high quality polymers to the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industries. We offer a comprehensive range of polymers for use as tablet binders, superdisintegrants, and drug solubilizers. In addition, we offer custom formulated, one-step Advantia® film coatings for immediate-release and enteric-release dosage forms in a wide range of colors.

Actives

ISP Pharmaceuticals also offers a select series of active ingredients and biopolymers with application in the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industries:

• Ferronyl® iron supplement is an ultra-fine, elemental iron that provides excellent bioavailability and may be used in dietary supplements as well as foods.


• PVP-Iodine antiseptic disinfects skin for wound treatment, presurgical skin preparation and treatment of bun abrasions and infections on the skin. It is safer and easier to use than classic iodine preparations.


• Allantoin USP is classified safe and effective (category 1) by the United States Food and Drug Administration as a skin protectant.


• Subject to local regulatory approval, Polyplasdone® INF-10 is approved for use in some countries as an active to treat gastrointestinal disorders and as an anti-diarrheal agent in human and veterinary applications.


• Gantrez® copolymers deliver superior film-forming and adhesion properties to spray bandages and ostomy adhesives
